Vermeer's Women: Secrets and silence

An exhibition of 17th Century Dutch paintings on show at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge has broken all records for attendance of an exhibition outside of London, according to an article in today's Observer

The small but exquisite display features four paintings by the master Johannes Vermeer, alongside works by his contemporaries, and offers the visitor a unique view of some of the most intimate Dutch genre paintings.

Undoubtedly, this publicity will only add to the hoards visiting the exhibition before it closes on Sunday 15th January, but if you can brave the crowds it really must not be missed.
